Our Approach

Music is a verb. Our approach is student centered and we believe in that student being as hands-on as possible throughout a lesson.

We teach for students of all ages, and for most any instrument or musical genre. Our teachers individual style may vary, but they all pride themselves on providing individual lesson plans, based on the specific needs of each student.

We offer private music instruction in the comfort of your own home. We also enable students to showcase their efforts in our bi-annual recitals.

About us

Dan Lotito, music instructor, musician

Our in-home, private music lessons venture was established in 2015 and spearheaded by Daniel Lotito, a professional musician and teacher.

Dan earned his Master's Degree in Music Education from Monmouth University. He is a certified and licensed music teacher for grades k-12. Daniel has taught music in both public and private schools as well offered private instruction for most all instruments. He has been the conductor for a 60 piece band, as well as performed both locally and abroad.

Dan states; It gives me great satisfaction to guide students through music for the first time. Additionally, I'm privileged to witness the personal growth that music can offer as a result of my lessons.

Our team services most of Monmouth County, New Jersey. Please contact us to see if we may be of service to you in offering in-home private music lessons.

Can we maintain social distancing while teaching?

Quarantine and Covid-19 concerns

At Monmouth County Music Lessons, we maintain student and teacher safety as our highest priority.

In-Home Lessons

As we all continue to adjust to the times, we are taking in-home students again. Since we know the positive impacts and advantages of having the teacher in the home, we want to assure all students that we will take the necessary measures towards social distancing. Some students and parents have asked us to wear masks at lessons, to sit 6 feet apart during lessons, and even conduct some lessons outdoors in the name of safety. We want to assure all of our clients that we will adhere to your specific requests and adjust with you as we navigate through social distancing. If you have specific concerns regarding distancing be sure to share it with our teachers. Your safety is paramount, and we are happy to make these needed adjustments with you.

Online Lessons

Online instruction is a great alternative for those with increased concerns for in-home lessons. Students can still receive professional instruction without any distancing fears.
