How do I request lessons?

It’s simple! Just click the “Book a Lesson” link and complete the form. It’s quick and easy. After you submit a request, we will assign you a teacher within 48 hours. Your teacher will be chosen based on your location and specific needs.

What are lesson rates?

In-home lesson rates start at $40.00 per half-hour session, $55.00 per 45-minute session, and $72.00 per hour-long session. Group rates are available, as well as custom scheduling. Please include these specific needs when filling out your registration form or call us at 908-624-8966 for more information.

How does billing work?

Monmouth County Music Lessons bills at monthly intervals. Please communicate with our office or your teacher if you intend to miss lessons or need to arrange make up lessons.

What payments do you accept?

Currently, we accept PayPal, Venmo, and credit card payments.

Can adults take music lessons, or are they primarily for children?

Music lessons are for all ages. Many adults take up music lessons to learn a new skill or revisit a childhood passion. Music instruction is not limited to children.

What are the benefits of taking music lessons?

Music lessons can improve cognitive skills, boost creativity, relieve stress, enhance discipline, and provide a sense of accomplishment. They can also be a fun and rewarding hobby.

Can I switch teachers if I’m not satisfied with my current one?

Yes, you can switch teachers if you are unsatisfied with your current one. It’s important to find a teacher with whom you have a good rapport and who can help you achieve your musical goals.

Cancellation Policy

24 Hour Cancellation
24 hours notice must be given in order to cancel a lesson. If a student cancels a lesson with a 24 hour notice, make-ups will be given at times and dates within the instructor’s schedule or can be arranged at any mutually agreeable time.
Same-day cancellation
If the student cancels on the same day as the lesson, the lesson will be forfeited and there will be no make-up, or refund for that lesson.  The payment for the cancelled lesson cannot be applied to future lessons. 
No Call/No Show
If the student does not provide notice of absence it is considered a No Call/No Show.  There are no make-ups or refunds for No Call/No Shows.  The payment for the missed lesson cannot be applied to future lessons. 
Illness and Emergencies
In the event that a student falls ill or has a family emergency,  the student will have a choice to make-up the lesson or apply the payment to next month’s lessons.      
Instructor Cancellation
In the event that the instructor needs to cancel a lesson, the student will have a choice to make-up the lesson or apply the payment to next month’s lessons.
