Requirements for qualified teachers include:

• Demonstrated musical proficiency with specified instrument(s)
• A positive attitude and a love for music
• A professional appearance and demeanor
• Good communication skills
• Openness to working with learners of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels
• An ability to create and tailor lessons for specific students’ needs
• The capacity to teach online with the following:
  • A strong, stable internet connection 
  • A quiet, neutral space for teaching lessons
  • A working webcam and microphone
  • Familiarity with online meeting platforms such as Zoom, Skype, and Google Hangouts
• The ability to learn and utilize our current learning management system (i.e., TutorBird)

Preferred qualifications include:

• A college degree with a major in Music or Music Education
• A flexible schedule and a willingness to teach multiple lessons throughout the week (you will be able to build your own schedule based on your availability)
• Some experience teaching music to children and/or adults
